I'm Peter
Art has always been a part of my life. From doodling in my free time to making art in my school notes. Even as a teacher, my classroom was filled with student art and the creative part of me turned my lessons into a form of art as well.
Now I use my love for art to create lasting memories for families to hold onto forever. Photography and video has been a huge part of my adult life, making sure that I don't miss anything with my growing family and I can look back on each moment to relive it as it was. I want that for everyone.

I have my own family of seven. My lovely wife and I have five kids of our own. Life can get pretty chaotic, but we love it. With so much always going on, we have to make sure we stop to enjoy life's moments or things will slip by too fast.
​
Doing this is what we love to do. When you love what you do, it doesn't feel like work. Likewise, a session with us will be you just enjoying your family stress free while we make all the magic happen through our lenses to provide you with your next favorite memories.

I'm Doug
I have always loved a good story. I used to listen to my grandpa repeat the same old stories over and over, but they never got old (until they did), but now I would give anything to hear him tell those stories again. I didn't connect the dots to my love of capturing family stories to my time going to Full Sail University for Film for a while. I worked on a few Hollywood films (see IMDB) and they never felt like what I wanted to do. I started making my own independent films and working in Television. I love telling stories and not just being a cog in a machine.

Once I had kids is when I began to realize my passion. I never put my camera down around my kids and I have enjoyed every moment of it. The look on my wife's face every time she goes back and watches our kids growing up over the years makes all of the time spent recording worth it. I began doing video for family members too and seeing the joy in their faces just confirmed what Pete and I thought, more people need this. It is such a magical feeling looking back and seeing your kids from every point in their lives and how completely different humans they are now. They change so fast, but with our business, PennyDukesMedia, we can capture moments that last for generations.

If I had PennyDukesMedia when I was younger, I would have the moments of my grandpa that I miss and would share them with my kids. I didn't have it back then and I use that as motivation to help others capture memories of their family so they can have the things that I care about too.
